83rd Annual Conference The sun is warmer, the days are lengthening, birds are building nests and the first flowers are in bloom. Spring has sprung in Vermont!
So our BPW attention turns to our 83rd Annual Conference! Come join in the fun and excitement –just across the Connecticut River in Concord, NH.
Here you will be welcomed at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and Grappone Conference Center for
the Second Joint NH & VT BPW Annual Conference. (Remember what a good time we had in Killington
last June with our NH BPW sisters!) If your Reservation hasn’t made it into the mail yet,I’m sure Sara will extend the deadline just for you to send it along in the next couple of days! They
have a great program on tap and we’d love to have you join in our fun weekend!
• Come enjoy the music of a local New Hampshire Easy Listening Band while you relax Friday evening, meeting new friends and catching up
with old acquaintances!
• Special Souvenir Cloth Goody Bags and colorful
Conference Binder Covers created and made by our
own Joanie B. Luce of Franklin County!
• We expect most of the Candidates for Area One Representatives to be at our Joint conference. Come meet these women who want represent you on BPW/USA Board of Directors. They seek your vote in the election this summer.
• The Business Meeting, YC competition, Silent Auction, Photos, Banquet and Installation of Officers will await you on Saturday!
• Sunday Breakfast – Come and See!
All this and more – just across the River in Concord, NH! So come have fun with us. Your State Leadership Team looks forward to celebrating your successes with you at our Annual Conference. On another note, your BPW/VT
Nominating Committee has expressed having challenging times in forming a slate of candidates for Federation Officers for the upcoming year. This brings to mind our Federation Pledge: “May I be generous not alone of my money but of my time as well.” It is your
organization and it needs your leadership. Come join the circle of friends. You truly get to meet and to know some spectacular women in our State Federation. Take the challenge and say “Yes” when called upon! The term goes by
quickly and can be very rewarding. It’s hard to believe the 2007-2008 BPW/VT year is winding down and that this is the final issue of VT Working Woman for this term. I extend my thanks and appreciation to Jennifer Savage, VWW editor, for the fabulous work she’s put into our beloved newsletter. I know she has faced challenges in
completing this task for us and I’m sure the entire membership stands with me in expressing our gratitude for her accomplishments!
Thank you Jen!
I’m finding a lot of joy in this special journey serving on your 2007- 2008 Executive Committee,
Warm regards,
Mary H. Bushey
